Special PageDescription
Default Content Repository pageThe default page to use to display content items from the Content Repository. An article will display on its "Display on" page if one is specifically defined for it. You can only define one "Default Content Repository page".
Error pageThe page a website visitor will be redirected to if an error condition is encountered. Typically this page contains content that explains that an error has occurred and what steps the visitor should take to solve the problem. You can only define one "Error page".
Home page

Due to a known issue, GX Software recommends that you do not use this special page type.

Article display on page

When one or more pages are defined, they can be used as the "Display on" page for an article in a Content Overview or Dynamic Content Overview element. You can also select the "display on" page for an article by navigating to its properties. If you define more than one page, the one with the ranking "1" will be the default option for the "Display on" page in an article's properties and the other pages will be available from the drop-down list.

Download display on page

When one or more pages are defined, they can be used as the "Display on" page for the download in a Dynamic Content Overview element. Often the "Down display on page is used for editing downloads on a specific page with a special design template. Image display on page

When one or more pages are defined, they can be used as the "Display on" page for an image in a Dynamic Content Overview element. Often the "Image display on page" is used for editing images on a specific page with a special design template.

Multimedia display on page

Login page

The page to use in the following circumstances:

  • When a website visitor is prompted to log in.
  • When a website visitor links from a page that does not require them to be logged in to a page that does require them to be logged in.

You can only define one "Login page".
Browser doesn't support cookies pageThe page to display if the website visitor attempts to navigate to a page that requires the use of cookies while cookies are disabled in the browser they are using. You can only define one "Browser doesn't support cookies page".
Page Section edit pageSpecifies the page to use when the user is editing a page section. You can only define one "Page section edit page".
Portlet pageThe page to use when linking to a third party website via a portal. Generally, the portlet page makes use of a special layout that is designed to work well with the third party website. You can only define one "Portlet page".
RSS Feed pageWhen one or more pages are defined, they can be used as the "Display on" page for an RSS feed in the RSS feed content element.
Search-result pageThe page to use to display the results from a Search content element. If in the Search content element you specify that yo do not want to display the results directly underneath the search box and a "Search-result page" is defined, it will be used to display the results. You can only define one "Search-result page".
SitemapThe page to use to display your website's sitemap. You can only define one "Sitemap page".
Sitewide pagesSpecify the pages that can appear in more than place on your website, for example a "Contact" page, "Help" page or a sitemap.
Database pagetype index pageThe page on which content from a database will be displayed. You can only define one "Database pagetype index page".
